Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Fest

Indian Dance and Film

Description: This is a free lecture/demonstration on three classical Indian dance forms: Bharatnatyam, Odissi and Kathak, followed by a presentation of three short dance pieces. The event will culminate with two short screen dance film screenings.

Seaweeds: Beauty and use with Kathleen Dickey

Description: Join Madrone artist Kathleen Dickey for a family-friendly adventure starting at the tide pools of Pescadero. Attendees will gather seaweed samples at the beach and then learn more about the varied ways that seaweed can be used, and mount and preserve their samples as a memento of the class. Samples of edible seaweeds will also be introduced. (Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
